Early in my life, I always wanted to make things, create things, decorate things, enhance and embellish things. And I also wanted to be the one to organize the birthday party, the school play, the grocery list, the community parade.

Flowers became a part of my life when I joined the Floral Ministry at my church and I was responsible for making altar floral arrangements for worship service. It was then that I fell in love with what I could do with flowers.

I became the go-to-gal when it came to adding that special touch to an outfit, or the go-to-gal that people called on to help them decorate their houses, or the go-to-gal to help plan/coordinate/decorate their birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, church functions, debutante balls, and weddings upon weddings upon weddings from Knoxville to Chattanooga to Chicago to Virginia.

I then realized that I have been decorating, designing, and producing events and weddings for over 35 years. And it wasn’t until I retired from my primary job that I decided to truly trust Godas I spread my wings and step out on faith which brought me to my dream job that makes my heart smile thus introducing pamelabydesign!
